Why Does a Part Stick in the Cavity — and How Do You Fix Ejection?
A part sticks when vacuum, shrink-on-core force, or surface friction outmuscles the ejection system — and the fix is decided by which of the three is actually holding it. Vacuum lives in smooth shallow cavities and deep pockets; shrink-on lives on cores, bosses and threads; friction lives on undercuts, rough walls and sticky resins. Diagnose the holding force first, then fix ejection — chasing the symptom with release agent only hides the cause.
Parting line — The line where the two mold halves (A-side and B-side) meet. Parting line location affects: gate placement, ejector pin marks, witness lines, and cosmetic appearance. A well-designed parting line minimizes visible witness marks. See also related guide.
